Electric

When I was very young, I lived, for a time, with my father, his parents and his sister, my Aunt Charlene, who was 10 years older then I was. She had many friends that came over while she sat me, all of who I thought I wanted to be like. I remember the Candy Apple red Camaro one of her boyfriends would drive up to the house in, thinking to myself, WOW!!! I remember hearing the Cars for the first time "Shake It Up" on the radio and it was burned into my brain. It was one of the first groups I ever liked. When I listen to their music, any song, I remember being introduced to the kind of fun that I was not old enough to participate in yet, feeling cool like one of the older kids, though I was not. Having a feeling of an electricity that was about to come, knowing in my future, I would never let anyone see the ugly duckling I was. When they all left , I could still listen and daydream about how cool I would be and what I would waste no time doing.

When I hear this music, I always feel cool and electric, no matter what!

What a trip...still.

"My Butterfly"

Then when I was distraught

And could not speak,

Sidelong, full on my cheek,

What should that reckless zephyr fling

But the wild touch of thy dye-dusty wing!

"My Butterfly" Robert Frost

A piece done by my beautiful granddaughter, Cynthia.

The most beautiful of Butterflies.

Workings by Doodie....

Some drawings to share by my two-year-old, Grandson Ethan. He loves to fill up every page before starting a new composition. To watch him think for a moment before he slowely starts to create his drawing is a gift. He watches his hand movement with the markers or crayons so that he learns what types of shapes he can make. He also has a pinache for room redecoration.... :0)
